Secure Horizons Protective Services is a Los Angeles based company that provides security guard services throughout California. Secure Horizons will perfom the following functions and duties:
  • Patrol assigned areas
  • Operate radio-transmitting equipment, if necessary
  • Provide information, as directed, to the public and visitors
  • Prevent loss, damage, or misuse of property
  • Monitor overall safety of the location
  • Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions
  • Any additional duties, which client and contractor agree upon
  • Patrol secure all access to the location
  • Respond to all routine and emergency as directed
  • Maintain an update the security procedures manual, commonly known as "Post Orders"

Supervision

Upon award of a contract, a supervisor will be assigned to your facility to coordinate operations. His or her responsibilities include hands-on training of new employees and on-premise inspections. The supervisor will also ensure that all personnel follow company regulations, instructions, and maintain their areas of responsibility at the optimum level.

 

Hiring

Secure Horizons concentrates on "Screening-in" the best candidate; matching the skills of the officer to the skill requirements needed for the job. Secure Horizons boasts an impressive average of 6 hours managerial time spent on candidate evaluation before any job offer. The typical screening process could include:

 
  • Medical check-up to ensure physical ability to perform required tasks

  • 3-year employment background check

  • Personal reference check

  • DMW History-For employees operations motor vehicles in the course of their job assignment

  • Comprehensive Drug Screening

  • California Bereau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Licensing Verification-Of all applicants supplying or claiming a valid private security guard license.

  • Proof of legal right to work in United States of America

  • Orientation testing and evaluation sessions

  • Client involvement and recommendations
 

Post Orders

Once awarded the security contract, a member of Secure Horizons Protective Service Inc. will create a full set of detailed post orders that defined the duties expected of the security officer. This forms the cornerstone of our off-site training for your facility that incorporates instructions with role-playing between instructor and student. When personnel are assigned to your facility, the supervisor will conduct an on-site “walk-through” to assure that the training was thorough and every aspect of the day to day management of your facility is met.

Through the process of close supervision we are able to maintain a constant line of communication with our officers, supervisor in the field, the client , and the main office. Each client knows that everyone within the organization is personally involved in assuring the best quality of service is provided. Comprehensive security officer supervision is unique to Secure Horizons Protective Service Inc. It is in our best interest to evaluate and regulate the performance of a security officer who is assigned to protect your property.

 

Training

All Security officers and supervisors at Secure Horizons are qualified and pass all requirements of the State of California. Our officers also meet the standards set by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. The professional training of the security officers consists of the following:

 
  • Emergency preparedness
  • Anti-terrorism techniques
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Mob control
  • Complete apprehension and arrest procedures
  • Specific training and usage of verbal de-escalation techniques
  • Personal hygiene
  • Surveillance techniques
  • In-depth public relations and
  • Workplace safety instructions
 

Furthermore, safety procedures, including, optional CPR training is readily available. The following report types are included in the report-writing seminar:

  • Incident Reports
  • Patrol Reports

Uniforms are an important part of a security program. Secure Horizons encourages officers to look their best at all times by providing high-quality uniforms and accessories included in each security officer wardrobe.

  3. Navy Blue Uniform Shirt with two patches
  4. White crew neck tee shirt
  5. Black bomber style jacket with two patches
  6. Gold metal badge
  7. Gold name plate

Security and safety are major concerns in all building. While Secure Horizons Protective Service Inc., personnel are represent during work hours:

  1. All suspicious persons will be questioned or asked to leave the building and/or the proper authorities will be notified
  2. Building entrance doors are checked to ensure that they are properly locked at the designated times.
  3. Entrance doors to tenant’s areas will be locked while at work and after the work is complete.
  4. Unauthorized persons will be denied access into the building or tenants' areas.
  5. Entrance doors will be double-checked after work is complete.
  6. Any key will be returned to proper personnel (supervisor) after work.
  7. Any additional duties, which client and contractor agree upon
  8. Potentially hazardous situations will be diffused by removing combustible from sources of heat and shutting off coffee machines, stoves, fans, etc.
